Dear St. Edward Parish and Families,

I cannot tell you how completely overwhelmed and joyful I felt last week when I opened the package from Mrs. Hy’s CCD classes. WOW! It was an amazing feeling.

What I felt pouring out of that package was not only very generous gift cards and a check for support to our young teens, but more importantly were these amazing words of love and encouragement for the teens who receive support here at our agency. Those letters, cards and sweet notes were filled with hope, with understanding, with compassion for others…... You all, parents, church leaders and the church community, must be proud of the way you have all supported and guided your young people to uphold such strong positive values…..These random acts of kindness are the very core of true change for people. When people feel connected to others, when people feel cared for and loved, they can then do the same. I am humbled by the level of support, and feel blessed by the gifts you have shared with us. May you feel my thanks and prayers for your parish
